E7/OK1DFC (JN84)
Hi EME gang, time is running so fast and July is here. How was planed on
12th of July I am moving from my QTH with all stuff to Bosnia and
Herzegovina E7. Dates and schedule you can see here
http://www.ok1dfc.com/Peditions/E7/e7.htm We, OK3RM, OK3VM and me
will be ready from 144 MHz up to 3,4 GHz. Due to very bad WX in OK in
past month I did not have chance test 9cm, but on measurement equipments
it is o.k. and also feed connected to TRV giving 5dB noise comparing
ground and sky. I did not received any request for special skeds. I
would like to ask here VK3NX if he is ready to be QRV 13cm and also
JA4BOH and others from JA because I still did not received new TCXO and
will use my SMHU R&S signal generator for support of 2302 and 2424 MHz.
If I do not receive positive request up to 12th of July I will be on
2320 and 2304 MHz only QRV. All other is ready and tested. Working well.
Please check the schedule there and let me know, if anybody will be
looking for special band activity, we will have lot of time and will be
possible to change feed during operation window. Tested, I need 30min to
change band. So keep cross a finger with WX and hope to hear many of you
via Moon from E7. We are expecting to be QRV in 1 min periods (E7 first
) because necessary coordinate transmitting with 144 MHz. On 2,3 and 3,4
GHz I have IF 145 MHz and do not expect any conflict, but.......... QRG
I will public on chat, if any problem with internet connection I will
send SMS to couple Hams in my GSM and you will know what is doing there,
but Braco confirmed that no problem with Internet connection there. I am
expecting some beacons like VK3UM, OK1CA, HB9Q, K1RQG and others to keep
our dish in right position. For pedition I have new controlling system
for elevation and also tripod is now more stable (Info from MMM on VHF) |

EME operation from 5N (JJ38).
I will be
working in Abuja/Nigeria for several month. This will give me the
opportunity to bring EME to the Nigerian Amateur Radio Club. Please
remember that I will be there for work reasons so I cannot be on air as
much as on my other DXpeditions. However, I will take all of the
equipment there and try to be on the bands as often as possible. The
call sign for EME activities might be 5N0EME but its not confirmed yet.
All other HF activities will be with the call 5N/KT3Q. The EME
activities will be focused on 2m and 23cm. Equipment is planned to be as
listed below. If you have anything that I could use during that time, I
would be happy to take it there and maybe leave it there as donation for
the radio club. Equipment: ********************************** 2m Ant: 12 element yagi (tnx to DL8YHR) PA: up to 1kW (tnx to HB9Q) TRX: IC-706mkIIg (modified) 70cm: Ant: 19 element yagi (tnx to DL8YHR) PA: ?? During this trip we hope to be QRV as much as possible. On EME we will run JT65 and CW; a timetable will be published soon. Our goal is always to work also the small stations and we will listen specially for weak signals during the dates with low degradation. We do not like running skeds because our experience is a sked takes too much time, random work is far more efficient. For actual info please visit PI9CM Blog and http://pi9cm.hyves.nl/blog/ and PI9CM PHOTO ALBUM. Updates will follow soon, best 73s, Chris, PA2CHR (CookieMonster DX-group PI9CM) (Info from MMM on VHF) |
